The Ministry of Interior announces the timetable for the Central Municipal Council elections

Today, Sunday, the supervisory committee for the Central Municipal Council elections, in its seventh session, announced the timetable for the elections, as it was decided that the stage of receiving voter registration requests would be during the period from 4/30/2023 to 5/4/

The Ministry of Interior said in a tweet, which it published on its official Twitter account, that the announcement of the preliminary voter lists will be on Sunday 5/7/2023, and on the same day the stage of receiving appeals and grievances begins, which extends until Thursday 5/11/2023.

She added that adjudication of appeals and grievances during the period from 5/8/2023 to Thursday 5/18/2023; This will be followed by the stage of announcing the final voter lists on Sunday 5/21/2023

Then comes the stage of receiving nomination applications, which was decided to start on Sunday 5/21/2023 until Thursday 5/25/2023, provided that the announcement of the preliminary lists of candidates takes place on Sunday 5/28/2023, provided that the stage of receiving appeals requests begins on the same day. And grievances 5/28/2023 and continue until Monday 6/5/2023

After that, the process of adjudicating appeals began during the period from 5/29/2023 to 6/8/2023, then the final lists of candidates will be announced on Sunday 6/11/2023.

The ministry indicated that the start of the electoral campaign will be on the same day for adjudicating appeals, and will continue until the stage of electoral silence that precedes the polling day, which is determined according to an Emiri decree setting the date for the election of members of the Central Municipal Council.
