Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Peskov assured that the West’s reaction will not affect the Russian Federation’s plans to deploy tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus

Russian President’s Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said that the reaction of Western countries will not affect the plans of the Russian side to place tactical nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus.

“Russia’s plans, of course, cannot be changed by such a reaction. The president explained everything in his statements, which he made in an interview on Saturday. There is nothing to add to this, ”said the official representative of the Kremlin.

Recall that the Russian leader said on March 25 that Moscow and Minsk had agreed that tactical nuclear weapons would be deployed in Belarus. At the same time, according to him, the obligations arising from START will not be violated. Putin also pointed out that the Russian Federation transferred the Iskander missile system to Belarus.
