Six killed in suicide attack near foreign ministry in Kabul

islamabad At least six people were killed and several others injured in a suicide bomb attack near the Foreign Ministry in Kabul on Monday. The officers provided this information. Significantly, this is the second attack on the ministry this year. No group or organization has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, but after the Taliban took control of Afghanistan in August 2021, regional organizations affiliated with the Islamic State have stepped up attacks in the country. IS targets patrols as well as Taliban officials and members of the country’s minority Shiite community.

Khalid Zadran, spokesman for Kabul’s police chief, said Taliban security forces had detected the suicide bomber before he reached the Malik Asghar intersection near the ministry. The attacker then blew himself up. At least six civilians have been killed in this suicide attack. Three Taliban security forces members were among those injured in the attack. The Kabul hospital run by the non-governmental organization ‘Emergency’ said that 12 wounded, including a child, had arrived after the attack.
