Ukrainian army tankers in the UK received training on handling British Challenger 2 tanks. This information was released by the country’s Defense Ministry, TASS reports.
The statement of the military department notes that during the training activities, the joint combat work of military personnel was refined. The actual training lasted several weeks. In the UK, Kiev is expected to use these crews in the counteroffensive.
Earlier, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy , responding to a question from a Japanese correspondent about Ukraine’s plans for a counter-offensive, said that so far the country’s armed forces were not ready for that. According to him, this is due to the slow supply of Western equipment and ammunition.
