Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Trump’s attorney says ex-president seriously fears arrest

Former US President Donald Trump genuinely feared his arrest on March 21 and “didn’t make it up”. This was stated by his lawyer Joe Tacopina, reports RT.

According to him, Trump learned that a meeting of Secret Service and New York police officials was scheduled for March 20, during which the surrender of the ex-president to court would be discussed.

“He assumed, based on these leaks, that this (arrest. – approx. ed.) would happen,” Tacopina said.

The attorney added that Trump “didn’t make anything up” and doesn’t want to be arrested.

Earlier, Trump announced his intention to arrest him and called on his supporters to protest. Later, it became known that the New York District Attorney’s Office was going to question the former US leader. Trump is suspected of manipulating financial documents during the election campaign. Law enforcement officials believe Trump paid $130,000 to hush up an affair with adult film actress Stormy Daniels, then spent the money on campaign expenses.
