Vandals desecrated a monument to Soviet soldiers in Moldova

In the village of Koshnitsa, in Moldova, vandals broke the granite slabs of the monument to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. The desecration of the monument was reported by the head of the Coordinating Council of Russian compatriots “Victory” Alexei Petrovich.

“Scum mutilated memorial plaques on the walls of the long-term firing post number 417 near the village of Koshnitsa, Dubossary district,” Petrovich wrote on his social network.

In this place, Soviet soldiers held the defense in the summer of 1941 under the command of Lieutenant Vasily Suvorin. According to Aleksey Petrovich, employees of the Interior Ministry and employees of the mayor’s office arrived at the scene. Criminal proceedings have been opened against the perpetrators.

“This is already the fourth act of vandalism in this historic military facility,” added the head of the Coordinating Council of Pobeda Russian compatriots.

Earlier, vandals destroyed a monument to the Red Army wars near the village of Ivancha in Moldova. According to Alexei Petrovich, head of the Coordinating Council of Pobeda Russian Compatriots, the attackers sawed off the monument to scrap it.
