Dmitry Polyansky, Russia’s first deputy permanent representative to the UN, believes that peace in Ukraine is far from established. The diplomat said this in an interview with URA.RU.
“I think that at the moment we are quite far from the world. At this stage, it is difficult to move forward, because no significant diplomatic efforts are being made by Western countries,” said Dmitry Polyansky.
According to the expert, Western countries now only indulge in sending weapons, thus continuing this conflict. Polyansky thinks it’s still hard to talk about meaningful efforts to achieve peace.

Earlier, Polyansky said that the Russian Federation would return to the subject of the Nord Stream explosion on the UN Security Council site. On the whole, the Russian side can be satisfied with the vote on the draft resolution on sabotage, because, of course, there were no illusions that “our text would be ignored”.
