Mitvol was transferred from the hospital to a remand center in Krasnoyarsk

The ex-prefect of the capital district Oleg Mitvol returned from the hospital to the cell of the Krasnoyarsk remand center. The press service of the Federal Penitentiary Service announced the transfer of the person charged in the case of major fraud during the construction of the Krasnoyarsk metro.
The Federal Prison Service noted that Mitvol’s discharge from hospital was due to the satisfactory condition of the person under investigation and his refusal to be examined.
“Mitvol refused in writing a new medical examination in a county hospital. At present, the state of health of the defendants is satisfactory,” said the Directorate General of the Federal Penitentiary Service.
The department clarified that Mitvol is satisfied with the treatment received, and that there is also a medical service in the remand center, and in the detention center, if necessary, Mitvol will also receive the necessary medical assistance.
The day before, Mitvol’s daughter posted a video message to the director of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation Alexander Bortnikov on the social network, in which she insists on the need to keep her father in the hospital for further treatment , TASS reported.
Earlier, Mitvol’s hospitalization with signs of pneumonia was reported to the No. 1 regional tuberculosis hospital of GUFSIN of Russia in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
Recall that Mitvol was detained in July 2022 at Vnukovo airport while trying to fly abroad and sent to Krasnoyarsk, where, by court order, he was taken into custody and placed in a remand center for the duration of the preliminary investigation. Mitvol is accused of having defrauded 900 million rubles during the construction of the Krasnoyarsk metro.
