Kazan court places blogger under house arrest over calls for desertion

The Vakhitovsky district court in Kazan placed blogger Parvina Abuzarova under house arrest. She is suspected of public calls for activities directed against state security.

“The court has placed Abuzarova Parvinakhan under house arrest until April 10,” a court official said.

According to the information, a criminal case has been opened against the blogger for public calls to carry out activities directed against the security of the Russian Federation, using the media, including the Internet.

The defendant, as noted, has fully admitted guilt in the alleged crime. But the FSB did not show up to the investigator’s call and went to the address of registration and residence. In this regard, Abuzarova was placed on the federal wanted list. She was later found and arrested.

The extra is suspected of using social networks to lead public calls for the desertion of Russian soldiers participating in the SVO in Ukraine.
