The efforts of Al-Rayyan Municipality during the first quarter of this year resulted in the monitoring of (180) properties that include housing for workers’ gatherings in the middle of families’ housing areas. Workers’ housing gatherings within the families’ housing areas. The efforts also included the issuance of (15) decisions to demolish old buildings by the Building Maintenance and Demolition Committee at the Ministry of Municipality, and the removal of (120) violating billboards, in implementation of Law No. 1 of 2012 regulating and monitoring the placement of advertisements. These efforts come within the framework of the municipalities’ keenness to reduce the phenomenon of workers’ housing clusters within the families’ housing areas, and to improve the civilized and aesthetic appearance of cities. The Ministry of Municipality calls upon citizens and residents to cooperate with it and to report the presence of any gatherings of workers inside the families’ residences, by contacting the unified call center (184), through the Awn application, or via the ministry’s website.
