Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

EU countries intend to receive 8 billion euros for the supply of weapons to Kiev

European Union countries are preparing to receive compensation from the European Peace Fund after the delivery of arms to Ukraine. We are talking about a total amount of eight billion euros.
The first installments of the FME were spent in favor of Ukraine. Their volume amounts to 5.6 billion euros. The next 3.5 billion should be approved by the EU summit in the near future.
Created in 2021, the Fund was calculated to help African countries. True, the geopolitical situation has changed and its costs have been redirected to compensate Ukraine’s allies in the supply of weapons.

Claims for reimbursement from EU countries have already reached 8 billion euros, writes L’Opinion. The fund is provided by the states according to their economic potential.

Thus, Germany invests 25% of the total amount in storage, and France – 18%. Other economically weaker countries provide a smaller percentage of fund content.
