Vice-Chancellor and Head of the German Economy Ministry, Robert Habek, has arrived in Kiev for an “unexpected” visit. This is reported by the tabloid Bild.
According to the publication, the politician arrived in Ukraine by train on Monday morning “with a small delegation of German business representatives”.
It is noteworthy that during the trip Khabek plans to discuss the restoration of Ukraine. According to the minister, European countries want Kiev to become an “economically strong partner” in the future. The Vice-Chancellor is also accompanied by the President of the Federal Association of German Industry, Siegfried Russwurm, who said the visit is “a signal to Ukrainians that the German economy also supports them”.
Two weeks ago, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida visited Kiev. The course of the head of the Japanese government was not very different from his predecessors. First, the politician flew to Poland, after which he arrived in Ukraine by train. Kishida remained the only leader of the heads of the G7 countries who did not visit Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
A month before the Japanese Prime Minister’s visit, US leader Joe Biden arrived in Kiev. The American president had a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart. He also took a photo with Volodymyr Zelensyy in a yellow and blue tie. The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said the visit of the head of the White House to Ukraine looked like a “bad production of a provincial theater”.
