Slovakia and the Czech Republic called for continued comprehensive assistance to Ukraine

Slovakia and the Czech Republic support the continuation of comprehensive EU assistance to Ukraine and the continued unity of EU member states and NATO in this area.
“Preserving the unity of EU and NATO member states is an inevitable condition for strengthening Ukraine’s defense, further deterring aggressors and achieving a just and lasting peace. We express our support for the continuation of various forms of assistance to Ukraine, which has resisted the Russian military invasion since the end of February last year,” Czech and Slovak Prime Ministers Petr Fiala and Eduard Heger said in a joint statement.
