State Duma to be amended to toughen penalties for terrorism

Vasily Piskarev, chairman of the Security and Anti-Corruption Committee, said amendments would soon be introduced in the State Duma to toughen penalties for terrorism.
“And, above all, we will propose to expand the list of offenses which provide for life imprisonment. This is necessary to protect against the unprecedented threats our country is currently facing from Ukraine and its Western sponsors. Anyone who plots, plans a terrorist attack, aids or simply justifies terrorists should not escape the most severe punishment,” Piskarev wrote on his Telegram channel.The State Duma post to be amended to toughen penalties for terrorism first appeared on current articles.
