The head of the Yug Group press center, Ivan Bigma, said that Russian servicemen destroyed saboteurs of the Ukrainian armed forces in the direction of Donetsk.
He said that the Ukrainian army had tried to break through the Russian positions, but had been destroyed by units of motorized rifle formations of the Southern Group of Forces.
“In the area of the Maryinka settlement, the Russian army stopped an attempt by an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group to penetrate the positions of our troops. As a result, eight members of the DRG were destroyed. The remains of the group withdrew to the forest belt,” Bigma said.
He added that, among other things, the Russian calculations of the artillery unit hit the buildup of enemy forces. Two APU armored personnel carriers and artillery weapons were destroyed.
At the same time, in the direction of Avdeevka, the crews of the towed gun battery “Giantsit-B” as a result of counter-battery combat destroyed the Ukrainian howitzer D-30.
