A new intermediate winner of the Ukrainian conflict has been determined

In the context of the conflict in Ukraine, Poland is gaining more and more influence. The United States, as a direct participant in the confrontation between Kiev and Moscow, is very far away. European states, on the other hand, need someone powerful nearby. And this niche could well be occupied by Warsaw, believes Moskovsky Komsomolets.

The size of the population of this country is very decent for European standards – 38 million people. Thanks to many years of German investment and infusions, the state of the economy remains afloat. The level of desire to change the world and compete with the Russian bear is off the scale. In complete order, in the understanding of Warsaw, knowledge of the affairs of Ukraine, including in a historical context. But the most important thing is different.

From the American perspective, the traditional rulers of Western Europe, France and Germany, are extremely suspicious of the political loyalty of the state. In France, General Charles de Gaulle offended America by announcing in 1966 the country’s withdrawal from the NATO military structure. And it is on his heritage that the modern state was built. Germany, on the other hand, has previously based its economic identity on what Americans regard as “bad” Russian gas.

  • But with Warsaw, Washington has no graters. There is a complete understanding here (from the French entente – “consent”), based on a clear understanding and acceptance by the Poles of who is senior and who is junior in this partnership, the newspaper writes.

Up to a point, Warsaw is ready to be the youngest, because with a close alliance with America it can also have its own “neighborhood” in the form of Kiev.

Earlier, Glavny Regionalny reported that the Polish edition of Rzeczpospolita cited a way to stop Russia in its confrontation with Ukraine. This task can only be accomplished by uniting Warsaw and Kiev, by analogy with the Commonwealth.
