The press service of the Kirov city administration spoke about the preparatory phase preceding the construction of a sports area in the park named after SM Kirov. The preparation consists of work of marking the territory and felling of trees.
The mayor’s office immediately reassured environmentalists that most of the downed plantations are in poor condition. In addition, once the construction of the site is completed, compensatory plantings of greenery and flowers will be carried out. More than 1,000 new plants are expected to be planted in the park.
The sports area will include a skating rink, pump track, volleyball and basketball courts, exercise equipment and parkour equipment. Pavement paths will be built between them and new lanterns will be installed.
