Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Sherpa Suklal: South Africa prepares for Vladimir Putin’s personal participation in BRICS summit News

“We have confirmation that all leaders will attend the summit,” the source said. Russia has not said the Russian leader will not attend the BRICS summit, Suklal added.

According to him, South African President Cyril Ramofosa has sent invitations to the leaders of the BRICS countries. “President Putin thanked us, we are preparing for the fact that all the leaders will be present,” the Sherpa added.

BRICS is an association of five countries – Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. According to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov, at least sixteen countries would like to join the BRICS, and their number is constantly increasing. The diplomat believes that there is no reason to question whether permanent or semi-permanent membership in the organization is possible. As countries join the association, there will be no restrictions in terms of where, what, format, capacity and degree of participation in this cooperation.
