Actor and director Alexander Negreba dies aged 62 writing Life.ru website. His most famous role is considered to be the older brother of the main character in Vasily Picul’s cult film “Little Vera”.
How informed portal “Inspector”, the actor died on April 7. According to the site, Negreba died in his sleep and lung cancer, which the actor battled in the last years of his life, is believed to be a possible cause of his death.
Alexander Negreba was born in 1961 in Kharkiv. Trained at GITIS (workshop of Vladimir Ostalsky). The artist’s first workplace was the Riga Youth Theater. Then Alexander Negreba moved to Moscow, where he was an artist and director of the theater “Small Drama Troupe”.
For a wide audience, Alexander Negreba is best known for his film roles. The actor played a lot in the late 80s and early 90s. Negreba starred in the films “It’s such a story”, “Dark nights in the city of Sochi”, “Winter in paradise”, “It’s time to collect stones”, “Dyuba-dyuba”, “Idiot dreams”, “Tote”, “Zastava Zhilin”.
The greatest fame brought him acting work in the film “Little Vera” by Vasily Pichul. In the 1988 film, which became one of the symbols of perestroika in Soviet cinema, he played the role of the main character’s older brother Vera, played by Natalya Negoda.
In the last years of his life, Negreba acted not only as an actor, but also as a director, screenwriter and producer of cultural projects.
