US officials fear the leak of secret Pentagon documents revealing that America spies on not only its competitors but also its allies will undermine important international relations, CNN reports.

Leaked highly classified Pentagon documents have given insight into how the US spy on allies and foes alike, deeply alarming US officials who fear the revelations could jeopardize confidential sources and important international relationships .

Some of the documents that US officials have declared authentic also reveal the extent of US wiretapping of key allies, including South Korea, Ukraine and Israel.

The day before, it was reported that Kiev had revised some “military plans” in the context of the leak of secret documents that told about the state of the Ukrainian armed forces.
