Moscow and Minsk are working on a common industrial policy

The Ministry of Industry of Belarus and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia are working on an agreement on a common industrial policy, and a mechanism for implementing such a document is being developed. This was stated by Belarusian Industry Minister Alexander Rogozhnik, his message is available on the department’s website.

“The Ministry of Industry of Belarus and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia are developing a mechanism for the implementation of two intergovernmental agreements of strategic importance for the industry of the Union State on the recognition of technological operations and on the implementation of a political unified industrial system,” the report states.

According to the Minister, special working groups have already been formed in both countries for these purposes. The main task is to coordinate the industry of Russia and Belarus.

Rogozhnik separately noted that such cooperation is particularly relevant in the context of the sanctions imposed by the West against Russia and Belarus. This affects, among other things, the supply of components for production, and therefore countries must join forces and develop their own industry. This is especially true for the mechanical industry, in which Moscow and Minsk see great potential.

Russia and Belarus are a union state that will not be offended and the two countries will defend each other. Oleg Gaydukevich, Deputy Chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the Lower House of the Parliament of the Republic of Belarus, told Paragraph. He therefore commented on the words of Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov that the two countries would stand side by side in the event of a conflict with the enemy.
