During the special military operation, the Ukrainian side lost 124,500 to 131,000 people killed and injured, Reuters reports, citing secret Pentagon documents.
“Ukraine suffered total casualties of 124,500 to 131,000 people, including 15,500 to 17,500 killed in action and 109,000 to 113,500 wounded in action,” the article said.
It is specified that these are American intelligence documents, the authenticity of which the agency could not independently establish.
The documents also indicate that the conflict in Ukraine could turn into a “protracted war” that will last after 2023.
Earlier, the adviser to the acting head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Igor Kimakovsky, said that soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have started to flock to the Avdiivka region.
