Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Russian houses will suspend work in several European countries

The works of the Russian Houses have been suspended in Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Croatia and Macedonia. Rossotrudnichestvo head Yevgeny Primakov said the organization was transferring resources to Asian countries, Africa and Latin America.

According to RIA Novosti, the words of the head of Rossotrudnichestvo, the suspension of work on Russian houses is on different terms. For example, according to Primakov, somewhere the government of the country announces that it is interrupting the intergovernmental agreement on the activities of cultural centers, and somewhere it is connected with the expulsion of diplomats, since the employees of the organization are usually accredited to the embassy.

“We have to reduce the work. If people have left and new visas are not granted, then everything is frozen,” the head of Rossotrudnichestvo said.

Primakov also noted that Asia, Africa and Latin America are now a priority for Rossotrudnichestvo.

Earlier, Germany denied visas to Rossotrudnichestvo employees to attend an event on Russian culture. The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, called the trick a manifestation of Germany’s tendentious anti-Russian policy.
