US President Joe Biden said authorities in the country continue to verify the authenticity of secret documents leaked by the Pentagon.
“We are still in the process of establishing the authenticity of these documents,” the head of state said in a statement.
He also instructed intelligence services and the military to take steps to protect classified data to prevent repeated leaks.
Yesterday US Attorney General Merrick Garland confirmed that Air Force National Guard member Jack Teixeira was arrested in connection with a leak at the Pentagon.
