US Air Force Private Jack Teixeira, suspected of leaking Pentagon documents, has been accused of seizing, storing and transferring classified information.
According to CNN, the court hearing in the case has been rescheduled for April 19. Until then, Jack Teixeira will remain in detention until a new preventive measure is determined against him. In total, for two counts brought by the court, the 21-year-old soldier faces up to 15 years in prison.
The day before, US Attorney General Merrick Garland confirmed that Jack Teixeira, a member of the US National Guard, was being held in the Pentagon leak case. The suspect was taken into custody by FBI agents. In the future, he will appear for the first time in District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
