Nizhny Novgorod junior hockey team “Chaika” started the final series of the Kharlamov Cup against the “Omsk Hawks” with a victory on the road with the score 6:2 (1:2, 1:1, 0 :3).
From the first minutes of the starting period, our hockey players demonstrated that it was not in vain that they were considered favorites in the confrontation with the Omsk Hawks, already in the second minute Chaika players Opened the scoring – Chupin recovered the puck from the tailgate and fired a nickel into the fight against the defenseman. The second goal was scored by Nizhny Novgorod in the minority – Vinogradov intercepted the puck in the middle zone, after which he jumped into the opponent’s goal and easily sent the projectile exactly into the bottom corner.
The owners of the ice also managed to distinguish themselves late in the first period – after winning the faceoff, Malov picked up the puck at the far post and sent it into an empty corner without resistance.

In the second half, the teams exchanged goals.
Our hockey players were the first to score their puck in the second period – Kupriyanov took the puck from the boards in someone else’s area and gave a pass in the middle of the area to Chesnakov, who got stopped and threw him just under the crossbar with a spin.
Omsk’s response was not long in coming. He burst into the opposing area at the speed of Trikozov and passed it to Golodnyuk, who broke away from the defender and pushed the projectile just under the crossbar.

In the 53rd minute, Vasily Atanasov increased Chaika’s advantage – Chesnokov removed the puck from the opposing zone and immediately passed it to Atanasov, who sent the right shot into the bottom corner under the goalkeeper’s shield.
Egor Vinogradov completed the hosts’ rout – he launched a counterattack and collected Misnikov’s puck behind another goal, giving a pass to Vinogradov, who hammered a shot into the far nine.
