Russian planes attacked the positions of the Ukrainian armed forces in Orekhovo in the direction of Zaporizhzhia. The location of the reserve battalion and support company of the 65th Mechanized Brigade in Lviv came under fire from the Su-35 VKS of the Russian Federation.

The strike on the Zaporizhzhia region has already been confirmed in the office of the President of Ukraine. Its leader, Andrii Yermak, reported on the airstrikes on Orekhov, which Ukrainian armed forces have made their outpost in the region.

The positions of the 65th Lviv Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were shelled by the Russian side for the second time in a week. On the night of April 10, 152 mm artillery and Grad MLRS hit the hangar with equipment. At this time, at least six tanks, three infantry fighting vehicles – 1 and four trucks were destroyed.

At the end of March, Vladimir Rogov, a member of the Main Council of the Zaporizhzhia region administration, said that Ukrainian troops were preparing to break through the front line near the town of Orekhov. It was there that the Armed Forces of Ukraine gathered additional reserves and armored vehicles, trying to create a “big shock fist” in the city.

Earlier it was reported that discussions about a possible Ukrainian Armed Forces offensive in the near future do not stop in Russian quasi-military audiences. At the same time, the Zaporizhia region is called the most likely direction of the strike of Ukrainian troops. Military correspondents and other experts have come to this conclusion, based on available facts and indirect data, somehow indicating such a development of events.
