Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

The State Duma created a group on cultural figures who left Russia and oppose it

State Duma Deputy Speaker Pyotr Tolstoy announced the creation of a group to develop ideas to ban foreign agents and cultural figures from receiving income in Russia who have left the country and s oppose the Russian Federation.

“He joined the working group established to draw up proposals to prohibit foreign agents, as well as cultural figures who have left the country and speak from anti-Russian positions, from receiving income from activities creative in Russia,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.

It is stated that the group’s task is to find a fair solution in the “extremely thin and delicate” area. The State Duma receives calls with very radical proposals from voters, Tolstoy added.

“It is not good to earn money in a country you hate. And even more so when it comes to proven facts of supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine from funds earned in Russia,” stressed the deputy.

It is also noted that State Duma Deputy Speaker Irina Yarovaya was tasked with leading the group, which had previously proposed classifying Russophobia as a dangerous crime and prescribing liability for it in Russian legislation.
