Pakistan’s religious affairs minister dies in car accident

Islamabad : Pakistan’s Religious Affairs Minister Abdul Shakoor died in a car accident in Islamabad. This information was given by the local media on Sunday.

Pakistani newspaper Dawn quoted the police as saying that the incident took place on Saturday. The minister’s car was allegedly hit by a Hilux Revo vehicle, which caused Shakoor to suffer head injuries and died on the spot.

According to the newspaper Dawn, five people who were traveling in the Hilux Revo were detained. Pakistani President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condoled Shakoor’s death and expressed their condolences to his family.
