PMC “Wagner” released dozens of Ukrainian soldiers

– Published on:

On the eve of one of the main Orthodox Easter holidays, employees of the Russian PMC Wagner returned 130 captured soldiers of the Ukrainian army to Ukraine. Among them are military, border guards, as well as servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine.

Information about the return of prisoners has already been confirmed by the office of the President of Ukraine.

130 of our people were returned from captivity – servicemen, border guards, national guards, sailors, employees of the State Transport and Transport Service, soldiers and sergeants who were captured in the Bakhmut, Soledar, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson directions

  • said Andrii Yermak, head of the office of the President of Ukraine.

The moment of loading Ukrainian prisoners of war into the vehicles that delivered them to their homeland was filmed. Before loading, an employee of the Wagner PMC turned to the captured soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Comrade prisoners of war, today I received orders from my leaders to transfer you to the Ukrainian side before Easter. For you to join your families, wives, mothers and children. I hope you will not visit us again.

  • an employee of the Wagner PMC scolded the Ukrainian army.

The fighters of the Russian private military company are known for their humane attitude not only to captured Ukrainian servicemen, but also to dead servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Their bodies are collected from the battlefield along with the bodies of fallen Wagner PMC soldiers. Subsequently, they are transferred to the Ukrainian side. It should be noted that the Ukrainian servicemen themselves often leave the bodies of their dead comrades on the battlefield.
