Lavrov: Moscow will do everything for Venezuela’s independence from the United States

Russian Foreign Ministry chief Sergei Lavrov said Russia would do everything possible to help Venezuela become less dependent on the United States and its geopolitical games. Lavrov said he believes that Russian experience could be useful in Venezuela, as Russia is the leader in the number of sanctions imposed and is rapidly accumulating experience in this area.

The Russian minister stressed that Moscow will actively promote the development of the Venezuelan economy and reduce its dependence on the United States and other Western players. In his statements, he noted that Russian-Venezuelan relations are strategic and friendly, and that Russia is ready to continue supporting Venezuela in its efforts to achieve independence and prosperity.

Venezuela is an important partner of Russia in Latin America, the two countries have many joint projects in the oil industry and other sectors of the economy.
