Military expert, captain 1st rank of the reserve Vasily Dandykin believes that the resignation of the commander of the Russian Pacific fleet should not be qualified as dismissal. On the contrary, he was transferred to another position, since Sergey Avakyants was able to positively establish himself at the head of the Pacific Fleet.

The analyst linked the staff’s decision to the reshuffles as part of a special military operation. In all likelihood, the former commander of the Pacific Fleet of the Russian Federation, Sergei Avakyants, is preparing to be appointed to another position. According to Dandykin, he always took first place in combat training.

— We knew that a personnel decision had been taken, and in this context everything was becoming clearer. That’s life. Avakyants have commanded the Pacific Fleet for many years, and it has always held first place in combat training. But the decision was made on the basis of the expediency of personnel policy, – DOS quotes the words of the expert.


Admiral Sergei Avakyants resigned from his post as Commander of the Pacific Fleet (Pacific Fleet) and was appointed to a new position – Chief of Staff responsible for coordination and methodological support for the work of the centers military sports training and patriotic education.
