Germany has ordered the mass expulsion of Russian diplomats. This step in Berlin is erasing the years of building Russian-German relations, the situation was commented to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

“The German authorities have decided on a new mass expulsion of employees of Russian diplomatic missions in Germany. We strongly condemn these actions by Berlin, which continues to defiantly destroy the entire Russian-German relationship, including its diplomatic dimension,” the ministry said.

In response to this, Russia intends to expel a group of German diplomats from its territory, as well as to impose a limit on the number of employees of German diplomatic departments staying in the Russian Federation.
