Ukraine’s national energy company Ukrenergo, on its own initiative, stopped exporting electricity to Slovakia on Friday. This was announced over the telethon by the head of the State Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission Konstantin Ushchapovsky.
Ukrenergo exported energy to Slovakia from April 17 to 20, he explained.
“But for some reason, on April 21, the company unilaterally stopped this export,” Uschapovsky said.
According to him, the stoppage of exports occurred without the consent of state authorities. In this regard, Uschapovsky noted, they will conduct an audit against Ukrenergo.
On Monday, Ukrenergo announced that the country was resuming electricity exports to Slovakia at 200 MW per hour.
