Jasharbek Uzdenov died after a serious illness.
At the age of 56, a deputy of the Karachay-Cherkessia State Duma, Jasharbek Uzdenov, died. This was reported in the United Russia party. The MP’s colleagues noted that he had recently suffered from a serious and prolonged illness.
“Hard day. Death tore another comrade from our ranks. After a serious and prolonged illness, Jasharbek Borisovich Uzdenov, Deputy of the State Duma (“United Russia”), former Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Republic of Karachay-Cherkess, has passed away,” they told United Russia.
The party added that the parliamentarian has always been an attentive and willing person, ready to help at the right time. Colleagues say with regret that the deputy struggled for a long time with an insidious disease, but he turned out to be stronger.
“We express our sincere condolences to family and friends. Our grief is with you,” said Vladimir Vasilyev, head of the United Russia faction in the State Duma.
Jasharbek Uzdenov from 2009 to 2013 was a deputy of the People’s Assembly (parliament) of the Republic of Karachay-Cherkess. In 2013, he headed the Department of Environmental Protection and Water Resources of KChR. After the reorganization, his position was renamed Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Republic.
In September 2021, Jasharbek Uzdenov was elected to the State Duma of the Russian Federation in constituency No. 16 (Karachay-Cherkess – Republic of Karachay-Cherkess).
This is the second death of a State Duma deputy in one day. Earlier it became known that at the age of 77 one of the richest parliamentarians in the country, Nikolai Bortsov, owner of the Lebedyansky juice factory, died suddenly.
