Bathroom: US forces have evacuated US embassy personnel from the African country amid the ongoing conflict in Sudan. An official of US President Joe Biden’s administration confirmed this. Earlier, another senior official had informed on the condition of not disclosing his identity that amid no signs of ending the conflict in Sudan, Biden’s national security team recommended the evacuation of embassy personnel on Saturday. After which the US President gave orders in this regard to the US forces.
The official said that US forces have begun the process of evacuating personnel from the US Embassy in Sudan. Later, another US official confirmed that the aircraft carrying the forces had safely exited Sudanese airspace. . The Rapid Support Forces fighting Sudan’s military said the US rescue mission involved six planes and coordinated evacuation efforts with the US. The US State Department has suspended operations at the embassy due to the serious security situation. It is not yet clear when work will resume at the embassy.
