The Russian embassy in Saudi Arabia revealed the disappearance of a Russian yacht (30 minutes) off the coast of the Kingdom, confirming that Moscow is in contact with the authorities in Riyadh about it.
Embassy said on "Telegram": "We continue to take all necessary steps in cooperation with the Saudi authorities to reveal the fate of the missing yacht, as well as provide immediate assistance to the Russian citizens on board.".
The third secretary at the Russian Embassy in Jeddah, Andrei Brekhovsky, confirmed that the Saudi ships are participating in the search for the 30-minute yacht, whose crew consists of three Russian citizens.
According to the agency "Novosti"The wife of the ship’s captain, Nadezhda Rasina, said that the yacht disappeared in the Red Sea, indicating that it was attacked by pirates.
She indicated that the yacht left Saudi Arabia about a week ago and was supposed to arrive in Djibouti by April 19. The ship never appeared there, and disappeared between Saudi Arabia, Eritrea and Yemen.
