Moscow and Ankara have agreed on a new payment system for Russian tourists

Ankara and Moscow have agreed to use a new payment system for Russian tourists. The results of the meeting between Russian and Turkish Presidents Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan are published by Sabah.

Russian travelers will be able to use the funds in their accounts using a so-called debit card. The process will be launched from the next tourist season.

The publication specifies that the next meeting of the parties could take place after the elections in Turkey, scheduled for mid-May.


Earlier, the Association of Tour Operators of Russia announced that Turkey, due to higher prices for travelers, may lose up to half of the expected number of tourists from Russia. Tourists wishing to travel to Thailand, Dubai, Vietnam, Cuba, Venezuela and Egypt.
