Qatar Club defeats Al-Gharafa and advances to fifth place in the league

– Published on:

Qatar Club defeated Al-Gharafa with a goal without a response, in the match that brought them together today at Thani Bin Jassim Stadium in Al-Gharafa Club, for the twentieth round of the Qatar Football League (QNB Stars League).

Qatar Club’s victory bore the signature of its Iraqi player, Bashar Rasan, in the (22nd) minute of the match, raising the team’s score to point (32) in fifth place temporarily, behind Al-Gharafa Club, which retained its fourth position with the same balance, ahead of the goals.

Qatar Club did not find it difficult to excel in the first half through the high capabilities of its players in collective performance on both sides of the stadium and in the middle of it, at a time when Al-Gharafa Club relied on the individual capabilities of a number of its members, especially the Algerian Yassin Ibrahimi, but the Qatar defense paid attention to the matter, He closed the ports to get to the penalty area. Qatar Club’s attempts to reach the goal succeeded through Bashar Rasen from Moroccan Badr Bannoun’s pass behind the advanced defense of Al-Gharafa, so that the Iraqi striker launched it, bypassed one of the defenders, and sent the ball to the far corner, achieving a goal after 22 minutes of play, and then his teammates controlled the first half of the match. Both defensive and offensive.

The goal gave the Qatar Club players a great moral impact on their performance, their defensive focus, and their quick rebound towards their goal at a time when Al-Gharafa Club rushed in search of an equalizer, without realizing it, so that the first half of the match ended with an advantage for Qatar Club in terms of defensive and offensive performance.

In the second half, Al-Gharafa intensified its offensive attempts at the Qatar Club goal, after the coach strengthened its ranks with substitute elements in the manner of Ahmed Alaa in the center of the attack in search of an equalizer, but he collided with an organized defense, and a vigilant goalkeeper succeeded in protecting his goal from a goal when the substitute Ahmed hit. Alaa scored a ball from outside the penalty area, which he saved brilliantly, as the most prominent attempt in the second half of the confrontation. The Qatar Club players worked to close the ports towards their goal, taking advantage of the close distances with the rebound very quickly, which made it difficult for the Al-Gharafa players to equalize, so that the match proceeded with attempts between a strong attack and defensive arrogance, until the referee whistle came announcing the end of the match with Qatar’s victory over Al-Gharafa with a goal without reply.
