The Rapid Support Forces said their medical ward was attacked with cannons, which were targeted by the medical weapon in Omdurman, causing deaths and injuries.
The Rapid Support Forces accused the Sudanese army of using the Omdurman Medical Weapons Hospital as a platform for artillery fire towards its medical department headquarters in Khartoum North.
In an official statement, the Rapid Support Forces said: “The Rapid Support Forces medical department was attacked on Monday with guns that aimed at the medical weapon in Omdurman. “They were evacuated to the medical ward for treatment,” the statement said.
Earlier on Monday, the army announced that it had destroyed 45 to 55% of the RSF’s combat capacity, after 15 days of fighting in Sudan between the two sides.
“The situation is stable in all states of Sudan,” the army said in a statement, adding, “During 15 days of fighting, our forces managed to reduce their combat capabilities by 40 to 55 percent.”
The army confirmed, “to thwart the movement of rebel military reinforcements (Rapid Support Forces) advancing from the west, halting the advance of another force coming from the northwestern borders, and a third group heading from ‘Al-Bagir towards Jabal Awliya’.
