Guests will attend the coronation ceremony of King Charles. Who are they and how many are there?

The palace said in a statement that guests at Westminster Abbey in London next Saturday included Nobel laureates, religious officials, heads of state and foreign ministers.

The statement added that 400 young people representing charities will have the opportunity to watch the coronation ceremonies and processions from inside the nearby St. Margaret’s Church.

Buckingham Palace continues to release details of King Charles’ coronation ceremony, which is expected to be on a smaller scale than the ceremony held for the coronation of his mother, Queen Elizabeth, in 1953, but it will still be full of luxury that reflects the traditions of a thousand-year-old family.

Charles Clothing

Buckingham Palace confirmed on Sunday that Britain’s King Charles will wear a crimson and purple silk velvet robe to his coronation ceremony on May 6, a garment worn by his grandfather, King George VI, during of his coronation in 1937.

Charles and his wife Camilla will wear two sets of dresses for the coronation – formal scarlet dresses on arrival and royal purple dresses on departure – all of which were previously kept or made by 334-year-old London tailor Eddy & Ravenscroft .

A huge military parade

Around 5,000 members of the British Armed Forces take part in the coronation of King Charles III, joined by soldiers from more than 30 Commonwealth nations to form one of the biggest military celebrations in decades.

The UK Ministry of Defense said thousands of soldiers, sailors and airmen will accompany the King and his wife, Camilla, between Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey on the way to the ceremony scheduled for May 6.

Salutes of arms will ring out across the country to mark the moment of the King’s coronation, before military personnel fly more than 60 World War II Spitfires and modern fighter jets over the palace.
