And the US Secretary of State said: “We consider any statement released by the Kremlin to contain a great deal of exaggeration.

“We cannot verify Russian information about an attempt to target Putin with two drones,” Blinken added.

And the US Secretary of State added that “the Ukrainian war truly represents a strategic mistake for Russia”, expressing his country’s confidence “that Ukraine will be able to regain control of more of its land,” according to Reuters.

A US official said earlier Wednesday that America was trying to verify Russian claims of a Ukrainian attack by two drones on the Kremlin.

The US official said the United States was trying to corroborate Moscow’s accusation that Ukraine unsuccessfully tried to kill Russian President Vladimir Putin with a drone attack on his residence in the Kremlin.

“We are still trying to verify the authenticity of this information,” added the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
