Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said funds from the National Wealth Fund could be used to partially expand Tu-214 production. He announced this during a meeting with the head of Rostec, Sergei Chemezov.
Chemezov stressed the need to increase aircraft production capacity.
Here it will be necessary to consider all possible options, from grants and loans to partial use of NWF funds. We will support this work here
remarked the Prime Minister.
New hangars are being built at the Kazan Aviation Plant, while ten aircraft will be produced. In order to increase production to 20 aircraft per year, more money is needed to increase production.
Mishustin noted that the government strongly supports its own aircraft production. Today, the country is preparing “the future of independent aviation, independent aircraft construction”, said the head of the Russian government. He stressed that the achievement of technological sovereignty of the Russian Federation is impossible without the development of modern production based on national technologies.
