Russia will admire the feat of the soldiers-liberators in the current struggle for a free future against the intentions of the West to weaken our country as much as possible and defeat it. This statement was made by Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Ryabkov during the solemn events that took place at the Ministry on the eve of the 78th anniversary of the Great Victory.

Ryabkov recalled that the Soviet Union defeated fascism thanks to the courage and tenacity of the soldiers of the Red Army, the selflessness of the workers on the home front. Our country saved humanity from the Nazi madness.

The President of Russia will speak from the rostrum, as is usually the case.

Earlier it was reported that Victory Day was considered the most important holiday by 65% ​​of Russians.
