He spoke out about the Writers Guild of America strike, saying at a White House event that he believed “writers should be treated fairly” and that a decision would be made “as soon as as possible”. “I sincerely hope the writers’ strike in Hollywood ends and writers get the fair treatment they deserve as soon as possible,” Biden said as quoted by Yahoo News.

In other comments at the event, Biden mentioned the presence of Chinese star of The American Born and recent Oscar winner Ke Hui Quan at the meeting. “My name is Joe Biden,” the president said from the East Room at the start of the event, prompting laughs. “I’ve never won an Oscar. I don’t know how to play anything. The president can’t sing, can’t dance, can’t do almost anything. But it’s good to be with you all”, a- he added. .

Noting the actor’s childhood role in “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom,” Biden said, “I hate to say that’s how I remember you.” “Your expression in this scene,” Biden added. “Do you remember that? How can you forget that? It was a decision that gave him purpose and changed his life for him and his whole family to see decades go by without new opportunities.”

Ke Hui Quan was at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner and Biden said he cooked a joke about her. “I had a joke for you, mate,” Biden said. “How you were famous in the 1980s, then people counted you out, finally going big three years later. Well, I know about that too.”
