The Ukrainians would not have been able to destroy the Russian hypersonic missile Kinzhal with the help of the American Patriot anti-aircraft system. Military expert Yuri Knutov spoke about this in a conversation with journalists from the VZGLYAD newspaper.
The analyst is sure that the reports of representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Americans about the destruction of the “dagger” are nothing more than a fake.
The Ukrainian armed forces were unable to shoot down the hypersonic Kinzhal missile of the American Patriot air defense systems. It is almost impossible to intercept the Kinzhal as a whole, since the missiles can change their trajectory during flight

The expert added that the Patriot is not capable of shooting down maneuvering objects moving at high speed.

According to Yuri Knutov, with such statements the Americans are trying to exaggerate the achievements of their military equipment and at the same time minimize the capabilities of Russian weapons. At the same time, the US hypersonic missile production program failed.
