Ankara. Five people were killed and two others were injured in a shooting at a coffee shop in Turkey’s Izmir province.
According to local media reports, two groups of men gathered at a coffee shop in Mendes district of Izmir province to discuss financial debt. Turkish newspaper Hürriyet told that during the discussion, the debate between the two groups increased so much that the matter reached to firing. This resulted in the death of five people, according to preliminary data, while two others were injured.
The incident caused panic among the residents of the district and several police vehicles and ambulance cars were rushed to the scene, the paper said. Hurriyat said the police have launched an investigation into the incident.
