Our correspondent revealed that a ceasefire has been reached and will come into effect at 10:00 p.m. Jerusalem time.
Egyptian sources also said the ceasefire agreement includes an end to the targeting of civilians and the demolition of homes.
It is the fifth day of the bloody confrontation between Israel and the Jihad movement, as the two sides exchanged missile fire, which left both sides injured.
Earlier, the Israeli channel “Kan” said that the mediation efforts, led by Egypt, were still continuing in Cairo.
She added, “The Jihad movement insists that Israel commit to ending the policy of assassinations and that the ceasefire be mutual and simultaneous.”
And she continued: “On the other hand, Israel confirms that the ceasefire will not include a commitment to stop the fighting.
On Friday evening, Israeli sources revealed that Egypt had submitted a new proposal for a ceasefire between Israel and Palestinian factions in the Gaza Strip.
The sources said the Egyptian proposal includes a mutual cessation of attacks and a commitment to avoid harming civilians.
She explained that the proposal is currently being studied by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office.
Cairo has recently sought through mediation efforts to end the mutual bombardment.
