Israeli bombardment of the Strip

Palestinian media said an Israeli shelling targeted a house in Al-Shujaia neighborhood and another on Al-Yarmouk Street in the Gaza Strip.

It comes as Israel steps up its raids on the Gaza Strip, targeting homes of activists, military sites and missile launchers belonging to the Islamic Jihad movement.

Our correspondent reported that two Palestinians were killed and five others injured in a raid that targeted a residential apartment in the Al-Nasr neighborhood, including a prominent leader of the Islamic Jihad movement.

Israeli artillery also launched attacks on southern Gaza.

This comes as medical sources reported that the death toll of Palestinians has risen to 33 dead and around 100 injured, since the start of the military operations, which have lasted for 4 days.

Meanwhile, warning sirens sounded in settlements around Gaza as Palestinian factions stepped up their missile bombardments towards Israeli areas.

And the media reported that a missile fell inside the “Gush Etzion” settlement, between Hebron and Jerusalem.

This is the first time that areas near Jerusalem have been targeted since the start of the current round of clashes.

The Israeli army has confirmed that around 1,000 rockets have been launched from the Gaza Strip since the start of military operations, and Israel’s Iron Dome was able to intercept several rockets fired from the Strip.

The Israeli army released footage of attacks it carried out last night in Gaza and said it targeted leaders of the Islamic Jihad movement.

The Israeli army said: “Tonight an Israeli army plane attacked the operations headquarters of a prominent member of the Islamic Jihad movement in the Gaza Strip, which is used to plan and direct operations terrorists against Israel. The headquarters was used by Muhammad Abu al-Atta, a senior member of the missile unit.”

IDF planes also attacked overnight “another operational headquarters of a senior Jihad organization in the Gaza Strip, which is used to direct fire into the territory of the State of Israel. The headquarters was used by Khaled Azzam, a senior figure in the Gaza Brigade’s Rocket Force.”

In addition, an Israeli army plane last night attacked a mortar shelling site for the Jihad movement in the southern Gaza Strip, as soon as it detected rocket fire towards the State of Israel.

Palestinian Foreign Ministry calls for international pressure to stop aggression

Today, Saturday morning, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates issued a statement, stating:

Condemns, in the strongest terms, the brutal aggression of the occupation against our people in the Gaza Strip, including the targeting of unarmed civilians, and their displacement after destroying their homes and paralyzing their lives, as well as the destruction of infrastructures, hospitals, and others. Strongly condemns the refusal of the occupation to bring aid, medical and food supplies to the Gaza Strip, in flagrant violation of the rules of international law, the Geneva conventions and international humanitarian law. It condemns the calls and campaigns of racist incitement launched by fascist ministers of the occupation government, such as Ben Gvir and Smotrich, who call for more killings and the restoration of the occupation of the strip, and considers them as an extension of an expansionist colonial mentality. based on the policy of annexation and expansion at the expense of the land of the State of Palestine. The ministry expresses its deep astonishment at the silence of the international community in the face of these calls, and warns of the dangers that Israel could exploit to deepen and expand aggression and commit more crimes. The ministry calls for a firm international stance that compels the occupation to cease its aggression and open crossings for medical care, food, fuel and other necessities of life.

Israeli sources: the failure of a truce project in Gaza

Israeli sources revealed earlier that Egyptian efforts did not result in a truce agreement between Palestinian factions and Israel last night, while Israel confirmed it would continue its military operation against Gaza until that he achieves his goals.

Israeli media sources said Egyptian efforts between Israel and the Jihad movement in the Gaza Strip did not result in a ceasefire agreement last night, after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said earlier that he was considering the proposal.

The sources said the proposal included a mutual ceasefire and a commitment to avoid harming civilians.
