In an interview with the American network “CBS”, the former American Secretary of State spoke about many of the current tensions in the world, the dangers of artificial intelligence in crisis situations, and his opinion on his journey during the stages of his political life which has witnessed peace and war.

At the start of the meeting, Kissinger was asked that if he were invited to travel to Russia to speak with President Vladimir Putin, what his reaction would be, to say that he was inclined to do so, but as a advise, adding that the Ukrainian war was approaching an important turning point.

Regarding China, Kissinger pointed out that China cannot be excluded from the international system, and that the Taiwan issue could lead to a war between two high-tech countries (China and America), and that requires attention, “This is a very dangerous time.”

Earlier, Henry Kissinger warned against entering a second Cold War, believing it would be more dangerous than the first.

In an interview with the Spanish newspaper “El Mundo”, Kissinger said: “A new cold war could start between China and the United States. The two countries enjoy similar economic resources, which was not the case during the first cold war. “Beijing and Washington are adversaries now, and it’s not worth waiting for China to become Western.”

At another previous meeting, veteran US diplomat Henry Kissinger warned that the desire of some to dismantle Russia could lead to nuclear chaos, calling for a negotiated peace in Ukraine to reduce the risk of a devastating world war.

He added, “We are now living in a completely new era,” noting that the geopolitical situation in the world will experience major changes after the end of the war in Ukraine.

A controversial figure, he has been condemned as a war criminal by many journalists, political activists and human rights lawyers, as well as revered as an influential US Secretary of State by several prominent international relations scholars.
